Lakeview Chalets

Our superior chalets, beautifully appointed with stunning views of the lake  and countryside allow you to self cater. Savour a drink at the end of a relaxing day as you barbeque a juicy steak or two on your private verandah while you're entertained by the birdsong amidst the sounds of country silence. 

Dinner at the Lodge homestead is available on request at the time of booking.  We offer a set menu  -  $80 per person with three courses. BYO - corkage applies.  

Continental breakfast provisions are in your chalet for guests staying a single night -  and  croissants, hot and freshly baked are delivered to you in the morning . 

 For guests staying 2+ nights, croissants are delivered to you on your first morning.

Our chalets, the Kahu, Kereru, Makomako and Ruru, named after the birds living nearby, each have :

  • Carparking beside your chalet
  • The use of a minimum of 2 kayaks and/or rowboats with lifejackets.

Chalet Facilities Nearby

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through our beautiful gardens to the Games Room located at the front entrance to the Lodge homestead. Play pool, select DVD's, games, books or check your emails on your laptap with wireless internet. 

Soak in the spa pool under the stars and  nestled privately  beneath the cedars after a big day out kayaking or hiking (single party use)

The semi enclosed gazebo complete with hooded barbeque is a great way for larger groups to dine together on those magically calm country evenings.

Bed and Breakfast in the Lodge Homestead

Secluded and spacious upstairs queensize bedrooms with private bathrooms. Tea and coffee. A leisurely breakfast is served in the classy dining room with fruits, cereals, juice, croissants and eggs if you prefer. Dinner on request at the time of booking - $80 pp.  Beverages available or  BYO - corkage applies.

 

Rustic Eco Cabin

This very basic 2 room cabin located near the lake, makes a great camping style experience for those young at heart. With no electricity, solar lighting, gas powered BBQ, indoor hot shower and toilet, you'll be at one with nature. Bring all your own linen and all supplies - right down to the loo paper and detergent.  Sleeps up to 6. Kayaks are available for hire $50 per couple. This makes for a fun and economical summertime getaway (from $50 per night per couple) and not recommended May to September. (Spa pool and Games Room facilities are not available to guests staying in the cabin).
