When  staying  2 or more nights and self catering - Croissants, hot and freshly baked are delivered to you on your first  morning. 

 

If time allows you a single night stay only we will include a breakfast basket and deliver freshly baked croissants in the morning - otherwise self catering.

 

Dinner can be requested at the time of booking - $100.00 couple. Pre - prepared, this will be gently simmering in the slow cooker in your chalet on your arrival for you to serve later that evening. Accompanied by rice or potato dish, white wine, pre dinner nibbles, juice and dessert. This is best suited for guests staying a single night .

 

 

 

You will not be disturbed by us throughout the duration of your stay (although we will discreetly deliver you breakfast croissants just out of the oven in the morning). 

 

 

 

All Chalets have:

  • Panoramic lake, farm and bush views from inside and from undercover verandah
  • Suitability for a romantic getaway
  • Carparking beside your chalet
  • The use of a minimum of 2 kayaks and/or rowboats with lifejackets.
  • Self containment with two bedrooms - can sleep 4 guests (tariff is for a couple, extra persons $50.00 night).
  • Quality carpets and contemporary furnishings in nature’s colours
  • Supremely comfortable orthopedic beds with wool underlays and quality linen
  • Well equipped kitchens with gas hob, electric frypan, quality crockery & utensils, pots & pans, microwave and small fridge. Tea/coffee welcome pack.
  • Freeview television, DVD player and a selection of recent movies
  • CD/radio and a selection of CD’s, Hairdryer, Bathrobes for  adults, conditioning shampoo and bodywash
  • Alarm clock radio, Magazines, reading and mood lighting 
  • Gas barbeque and outdoor furniture

Kahu Chalet    -  A favourite luxurious one night chalet to escape to in absolute privacy.  French doors open to the private  verandah, which has stunning lake views,   from both the  main bedroom and the lounge/dining.   Soak & sip in your  outdoor bath. Cuddle up after dinner and watch a romantic movie on the LCD 32" TV.   Queensize bed in both upstairs and downstairs bedroom.

 

 

Kereru Chalet  - A lovely 2 storied chalet with great views.  The upstairs triple bedroom suits up to 3 singles (or very well behaved children).

 

 

Ruru and Makomako Chalets are contemporary single level log style chalets and have woodburning fires. Wide opening slider doors lead from the main bedroom and lounge/dining  to the verandah. Also  twin bedroom.  Ruru  makes a great  getaway retreat for a couple.

 

 

 

Located  Near The Chalets

 

Enjoy a leisurely stroll through our beautiful gardens to the Games Room located at the front entrance to the Lodge homestead. Play pool, select DVD's, games, books or check your emails on your laptap with wireless internet. 

Soak in the spa pool under the stars and  nestled privately  beneath the cedars after a big day out kayaking or hiking (single party use)

The semi enclosed gazebo  is a great way for larger groups to dine together on those magically calm country evenings.

Lake Rotorangi is a 5 minute downhill stroll from the chalets through the redwood grove.

 

 

 

Dinner, Bed and Breakfast in the Lodge Homestead

 

Spacious upstairs queensize bedrooms with private bathrooms. Tea and coffee. Dinner and breakfast is served in the homestead dining room.  Please email us for booking enquiries (cannot be confirmed online).

 

 

 

Rustic Eco Cabin

 

Still some availability  over the summer holidays!

 

This very basic 2 room cabin located near the lake, makes a great camping style experience for those young at heart. With no electricity, solar lighting, gas powered BBQ, indoor hot shower and toilet, you'll be at one with nature. Bring all your own linen and all supplies - right down to the loo paper and detergent.  Sleeps up to 6. Kayaks are available for hire $50 per couple. This makes for a fun and economical summertime getaway (from $50 per night per couple). Not recommended  May to September. This basic cabin is for exclusive use by you and is in a private and tranquil setting. (Spa pool and Games Room facilities are not available to guests staying in the cabin). Minimum stay 2 nights.
